PRESS RELEASE:  Contact –  Marquis Sharif Gen. Habib Nikabulin (Royal Minister of Home Affairs) In a solemn ceremony on 15 February 2012, at the Ascott Hotel (former Oakwood) function room, with seven Knights and one Illustrious Master of the Royal Order of Sulu & Sabah are installed from Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines by His Majesty Sultan Fuad A. Kiram I, the 35th Reigning Sultan of Sulu and Sabah.
The newly installed Knights are: Datuk Sir Ahmad Maphilindo Isa (Royal Cultural Ambassador to Malaysia); Datuk Sir Azhar bin Asfandi (Royal Deputy Cultural Ambassador to Malaysia); Datuk Sir Imam Prawoto from  Indonesia; and Illustrious Master Azman bin Sanusi of Malaysia. From the Philippines the installed Knights are: Marquis Datuk Sir Sharif Gen. Habib Nikabulin, MNLF; Viscount Datuk Sir Col. Abdulwalid Nizam Diosdado T. A Royal communiqué from His Royal Highness Prince Omar Kiram Dux de Legazpi Duque de Vivar-Maniquiz, Grand Prince & Prince Marshal & Grand Master of the Royal Orders.

“Be it hereby duly known with the most gracious Royal assent and approbation, and after due deliberation by the Royal Council which unanimously agreed and recommended to His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First, The Sultan of Sulu & The Sultan of Sabah, Head of Islam & Head of Sultanate, The 35th Reigning Sultan – for the select personage to be granted the illustrious and honorable rank and title of Datuk/ Knight Commander (KCRSS) of The Royal Order of Sulu & Sabah today.”

Citation reads:

Whereas, for exemplary achievements and personal contributions to better society and in bringing closer understanding between The Royal Hashemite Sultanate of Sulu & Sabah, Nigeria and the USA, and whereas for the upliftment of closer understanding and friendship between the Tausugs, Filipinos, Nigeria and African peoples along with his support to His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First, The Sultan of Sulu & The Sultan of Sabah, and therefore the Royal grantee of honors and distinction shall become Datuk/ Knight Commander (KCRSS) of the Royal Order of Sulu & Sabah with immediate effect as from today namely:

The Honorable Datuk (Sir) Dr.Emeka Kalu, KCRSS (State Chairman Peoples Democratic Party Arizona/ Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria)

The personal Knightly coat of arms of Datuk (Sir) Dr. Emeka is to be designed and marshaled by the Royal College of Arms for his sole and exclusive use as per Laws of Heraldry.

His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First thereafter ordered and issued a Royal Edict to be signed and sealed today at Royal Maimbung, Sulu this 15th day of February in the year 2012.

This Royal Edict appears as a matter of public records and to be made known accordingly and we congratulate the well deserving Royal awardee and grantee.

Note: This grant of Knighthood is free and without any fee or payment from the grantee as Knighthood is based on achievements and contributions to society and not the ability to pay for the recognition. We have over 200 Knights globally and no one paid any fee to us to receive the recognition as Knights and to be accepted in the Royal Orders from the beginning up to now. The grant is free.

To All and Singular: To all whom this Royal communiqué shall come, greetings!

“Be it hereby duly known with the most gracious Royal assent and approbation, and after due deliberation by the Royal Council which unanimously agreed and recommended to His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First, The Sultan of Sulu & The Sultan of Sabah, Head of Islam & Head of Sultanate, The 35th Reigning Sultan – for the four (4) select personages to be granted the illustrious and honorable award, rank and title as “Datin and Datuk/ Knight” and are entitled to be called “The Honorable” and they can use the letters “LRSS” and “KRSS” (Lady/ Knight of the Royal Order of Sulu & Sabah) after their names as post nominals announced hereto.”

Citation reads:

For exemplary achievements in bringing closer understanding between Muslims and Christians and for their personal achievements and contributions to society along with their unceasing valued support to His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First, The Sultan of Sulu & The Sultan of Sabah, the 4 grantees each of honors and distinction whose names appear below shall become Knight of the Royal Order of Sulu & Sabah with immediate effect as from today the 8th day of February in the year 2012:

1. The Honorable Lady Datin Rosela Balmes Briones, LRSS (Hong Kong)

Their personal Knightly Arms shall be designed and marshaled by the Royal College of Arms and to be granted by His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First, with their names inscribed on the “motto scroll” as a mark of favor and recognition of their achievements for their exclusive use in any of their honorable pursuit and endeavor.

His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Fuad Abdulla Kiram the First thereafter ordered and issued a Royal Edict to be signed and sealed today at Royal Maimbung, Sulu this 8th day of February in the year 2012.
